Default sorting on Popular instead of Newest

As a user I want the default list sorting to be Popular instead of newest so that I get a good understanding of what the community likes when I first login instead of having to sort through a bunch of new and possibly stupid ideas.

Hello, this is really important! Majority of users are going to be coming to vote on highly voted/popular requests and having them immediately in their line of vision without having to change the sort option will help to reduce duplicates! I hope it's a relatively easier feature request to implement! Big value add.
